Just arrived and mounted on the Jolos adapter. I do like this lens Smile Big hunk of sexy glass.

Turns out the aperture fault is that the aperture ring is unconnected to the iris at all, so these are all at f:4.

100% crop

So, assuming I can fix the iris fault I'll be quite happy with this - I like the colours and general rendition. Not a hint of CA anywhere and these shots were done with no hood.

yes, apertures are a tragedy with Flektogons. Only one or two of all my Fleks did not need aperture fixing. Such a pity, because they are so great lenses.
If I could get back in time I would go to Jena and beat hard on the head the iris manufacturers with a heavy brick Razz Rolling Eyes

Hello Dave, where did you get the adapter for 10D body?
I always wanted to use this lens on my Canon DSLR.

I would join you, Orio. All my CZJ lenses have mechanical problems Crying or Very sad However, I still use these because optically there aren't many better lenses.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but why don't you try either of these adapters:
http://araxfoto.com/accessories/tilt/
http://araxfoto.com/accessories/shift/

They work very well and offer the supreme advantage of allowing shifts and tilts with your Pentacon-Six lenses. The Flektogon 50 is a great lens to use as a shift or tilt lens on a DSLR camera.

Cheers!

I have an adapter for the nikon - these med format lenses are about the only ones that will focus to infinity on the nikon. I have my eye on this Flek, as soon as I can get a decent Vega-12

Arax sells the Vega-12, multicoated and revised, for $69 with 6 months warranty: http://araxfoto.com/lenses/vega-12/

Cheers!

@Patrick

Beware, the photo seem to show a P6 mount, but the Salyut is a screw mount, as listed on their own site. http://araxfoto.com/lenses/
Clarification needed from Arax, it seems.

Hi, on the above adapter
the description perhaps has too much info to confuse me..
As i understand no AF confirm (which isn't a problem)..
But will it still measure shutter speed for Apertures set ?

Also another thing to worry, does the quality of image degrade with P6 to EOS adaptor cause of internal reflections etc ? as it is too long...

I am looking for p6 to Eos for quite some time now.. ! Does anyone else know of P6->M42 so that it can be later used as P6->M42->EOS

This lens does indeed come in Pentacon-Six bayonet mount. I have one from this seller.

The Vega-12 sold by Arax may have been overhauled from old Salyut lenses but they look like new.

Cheers!
