superb quality soullivan!
you made a beautiful series
I prefer the natural colors of Flek to the more contrat biotar for this kind of shots
I am also happy to see those nice colors on the D80
my favorite is the first with flek

For me, the Biotar 2/58 and Helios-44 are the perfect lenses for B&W, where you want more contrast and the colours don't matter.

Nice serie. Really lovely colours.
It's nice put toghether fashion photography with "old lenses".

I searched for that Biotar on Ebay but I only found one with a praktica body.

Cheers

You images are superb in every respect. The "modeling" is luscious and the compositions are finely shown.

I agree that the Flektogon images show a more subdued color than the Helios...but had I ONLY seen the Helios, then I would not have been able to guess that it was somehow "contrasty". I guess it always takes a comparison for me, and I'm glad you did.

I always am looking for your posts! Very Happy

Larry

Beautiful series. The B&W picture stands way above the rest for me.

I am curious, how can you obtain infinity focus with these lenses on a Nikon?
The Biotar photos are mostly close-ups, but the Flek photos show a couple of backgrounds much in focus.

I prefer the Flek with these, and that's some nice dress!
Embarassed don't mean to imply the dress is for me!

I mean a nice dress on a pretty woman is better (though more fleeting) than a good lens on a camera Wink
