Wow! The last one is truly amazing!
Seems you have a very special communication with cats.

I wonder how this lens got a bad fame...
I find it excellent.

NIce series and perfect lens, is that Rhodos in 2nd picture, so green?
Distagon 25 is a favorite of mine also, wide enough for almost everything and small enough to fit in a pocket.

My fav image is the last one, lovely arches, Rhodos must be the paradise for cats, Melissa said she's interested about possible retirement there, but she wants to know if there is enough supply of roasted chicken (her favourite food) Laughing Rolling Eyes

shots.
have you been in Austria (styria) when they did elections ???

Cheers

I don't think so, he start to run and in the next shot I had just the time to capture him

I didn't know it is the president Embarassed

I think you've been in Graz, the capital town of Styria. I don't remember the "small" church neither, because I haven't been in Graz for ages ...

Yes that's our president and some other important polititians:

this "church" is the Rathaus Smile

The Rathaus is a building in Vienna which serves as the seat both of the mayor and city council of the city of Vienna.
The town hall also serves, in personal union, as Governor and Assembly (Landtag) of the State of Vienna, a state with the Austrian federal system

The Rathaus was designed by Friedrich von Schmidt in the Gothic style, and built between 1872 and 1883.
On the top of the tower is the Rathausmann, one of the symbols of Vienna. Facing the Rathaus is a large park, the Rathauspark. The Rathaus also accommodates the historic 'Wiener Rathauskeller' restaurant

Great series, even if you did take a shot of a pol! This has become one of my "take everywhere" lenses, even at 1.6x magnification from my Canon 40D. That and the planar 1.4 are almost always on it.

thanks Patrick
I used also this lens on the 40D but it is much better on the 5DII
I still cannot understand how it is possible that full frame give better border than crop
Here are some crop 100% from 21MP sensor
on second crop you can see moire, meaning the lens give more resolution than the sensor

Well, I guess it's *slightly* better than using the bottom of a coca cola
bottle for a lens.. Laughing

Superb results, love the cat on the arch shot the best. Cool

Where, on the red roof? I can see only slight noise, not the moire...

right, it was not the best sample to show moire
moire is on the wall on the right of the red roof but it could be interpreted as noise

here is another pic, not interesting, but it show moire of distagon 25 with tissue motives

whole pic

no sharpening on this crop
at 100% you can see some artifact but it is still not evident

at 200% you see how the sensor get lost when resolution is too high
the greens lines look like noise but it is moire

I saw that moire on the wall well... but then I'm used to see it Wink

Very nice images here Poilu.

This one is my favorite easily although I would crop the oof railing from the bottom.

and speaking of bottoms....What is up with the fashion here. Was this chick sleeping since 1995?
