This is a CUSTOMER LENS.
I am finishing with the mount .. but aperture not finished yet.
I must admit - this is a strange lens --
- it's heavy -- I really do not know why Canon produced such a zoom 50-300
I think -- 100-300 is enough - never mind...
1 - sharpness -- superb
2 - bokeh -- hmm _ I do not know - I don't like it too much
3 - colours -- stunning and warm = exactly what I like - it doesn't have to be everyone's taste
+ true apo performance = no fringing or any significant CA even wide open
Colours are simply stunning ..
There is no PP in colours! LightRoom did its jobs and I changed Adobe to CameraFaithful
The lens is quite rare and HEAVY!! It's a proper chunky and heavy stuff, simply pure metal and glass !!!

Beautiful color rendering! I was looking for one for quite a while but besides the fact that's pretty rare it fetches big prices.
Any photos with the long end? I mean distant subjects. _________________ Moderator Himself |

it's very difficult to find a zoom that goes from normal to supertele and has a good bokeh
Simply the quantity of the elements involved and the quite likely retrofocal design are factors
that work against a good bokeh
For the rest I'd say that what I see is surely impressive, although it seems that sometimes (e.g. photo #7)
you have added some saturation, too. _________________ Orio, Administrator

Himself - I need to dig out something..
Orio = trust me! the saturation is untouched and this is my settings in camera:
Sharpness = 1
Contrast = totally minimized = -0
Saturation = -2
Color tone = 0
and here's the LightRoom window:
and this is the detail -- from the number 6:
