Hi,

a few more from Cyprus. All zuiko 18mm.

Here is Kourion, an ancient Roman settlement on Cyprus. This is the amphitheatre.

Beautiful !

How did you do the dark skies ? I have been trying with digital, but its just not the same as B&W film with red filter.

Great pictures! Luscious tones in the black and white, masterful rendering of the sunny tones.
And I appreciate much that this time you have done only a limited amount of postprocessing. This lets the natural beauty of the pure B&W surface and shine in its own terms.

I'd say it's a deep red filter, the ground is particularly luminous and the sky is bright near the horizon where it was probably whitish to the naked eye. Maybe he used a polarizer as well, in most of the shots the shadows indicate the sun is to the right or to the left so the polarizer would have a big effect.
