Ultrafine is also re-branded Foma I believe). It's less than $30 for a 100-foot roll. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/hancockDavidM |

Have to praise here the very quick service from the http://www.fomafoto.com/
My first purchace from them was last weeks (27 rolls 120-films, what is the maximum amount that you can get with the lower posting costs with 120-films).
Came from Norway to Finland with two working days, and that at this the most hurry christmas posting season now!
That's just incredible! Exellent service! _________________ 500px l ¿ .. ? l Jalbum |

A word about pricing:
RK Photographic prices normally include delivery and they sell also on Ebay.
Silverprint is normally the cheapest in the UK not accounting for delivery charges. |

How about offering long-roll 120 foma-films?
we could attach 220 paper. or use in roundshot-cameras in 70mm-cartridges. otherwise 70mm films unperforated/or perforated must be cut down.
If you don know yet: ilford annouced unperforated 70mm delta 100 and hp5 plus for the end of this year 2013. _________________ mpa |

Not worth it, lot of hassle, usable only in a few cameras and not significantly less cost to manufactures than 120 film I think which is universally usable in every camera. _________________ -------------------------------

Just about to order some 9x12 and 4x5 Foma, also some Fomaspeed paper to try out paper negatives. I'll just stick with the D76 dev /Ilford powder fixer for the moment, as I have plenty of those, but will try the Foma developers later. _________________ Dave - Moderator

Wow, thank you for that - it will have to wait until next week, as I've just bought some 9x12 film holders (damn ebay - you go on looking for something and you remember something else). Since there is such a saving to be made on 9x12 compared to 4x5, I thought I'd invest in a couple of film holders that would fit the Graphic back.
How long will that sale last - is there an expiry date on it? The low price of 4x5 there turns what I wrote above on its head
Oops; run into the same problem as last time - when I go to order, the address only caters for customers locally, not outside Czech or Slovak Republics. _________________ Dave - Moderator

I quite don't know, they say it's for orders in August but maybe there is only limited stock..

You must think the other way around, the film is offered for the people owning such a camera. It is not an offer to build yourself a camera around the film. If you already have a 70 mm back than you don't care it is not usable in your other cameras, you are happy you can feed this back with film.
Industrial production is cheap, no matter in which industry. Expensive is the distribution.
I think producing 300 m of 120 film and 300 m of 70 mm film is almost the same. But distributing 300 m film in a single roll of 70mm is definitively cheaper than distributing 120 film in 250 separate rolls. |
