That is shame for an excellent lens like this. Hopefully you will get it, a couple of times I "lost" these too cheap lens, they are never arrived.

Well done on that! Probably the seller's photograph put people off - I've noticed some sellers put up pics that make a perfectly decent lens look like a bit of scrap; it can't help sales much.

Just take a look on Ebay list in reverse order, many lenses going for 0.99 GBP or close. Mostly they are crapy , but sometimes you can find good deals.

Well, the lens arrived this morning - smooth focusing, clean aperture blades... Shall take it out later today.

I have been meaning to test my ?0.99 lens all weekend but other things got in the way. But then, this morning, at six o'clock, my cat caught a mouse and started throwing it round the house. I have given up taking them away from her: she runs away when I try, and she gets really upset if I succeed. So, now, I just reach for a camera. Mine happened to have the Jupiter 11A on it. And I was very, very impressed:
