Again, camera EOS 50E, fully manual.
I'm impressed by the fine grain and the sharpness (hopefully it's there). Not easy doing handheld shots with ISO25 and the Makro-Planar.
Developed in Rollei RHS for five minutes. "Scanned" by EOS 5D on bellow.
The film layer is transparent, which is a nice feature for scanning.
One note, for portrait work, I wouldn't recommend the Ortho25 for female models, I did not get any permission to show a picture

Looks like a winner to me Sandy.
I like these Rollei/Maco films with no emulsion base (transparent).
Try the Rollei IR also. It's great exposed without a filter on the lens and exposed at ISO200.
Very nice for Portraits..........just don't use the MacroPlanar _________________ Moderator |

Thanks Andy, yes, I think it's a winner.
Rollei IR400 is already ordered I think I fell in love with Maco.
Erm, the unpublished portrait was taken with the Planar 1.2/85
No way, the Ortho25 is too strong, perhaps in combination with the RHS developer, maybe a low contrast developer might work better. _________________

The devlopment is very good, which "shaking" method do you proceed ? this might have effect on the final result as well. Whose are great by the way, especially the cat. _________________ Happy owner and user of :

Hexi, shaking was first 30" permanent, but not frantic, then every 30" only one agitation. Deverloper exactly measured at 19°C, but the darkroom was beyond 30°C.
The Agfa APX is now available as Rollei Retro 100, I'll try this one soon, one rolls costs 1.50 Euro, a very decent price.
Orio, you are welcome!
Thank you Klaus, sounds very interesting, but I'm very sure that my limiting device would be the 5D on the bellow then. Live-View would be also very nice for bellow-scanning. _________________

That was well before he started the Gigabit business, But at the time he was well into investigating how to push the boundary of photography further than ever before.
The idea of Gigabitfilm is not new, however; for a long time various thin emulsion, high-contrast films had been used for general photography, paired with a soft-working developer. Some decades ago H&W offered that in the US, ahd Kodak's Technical Pan was also quite similar. There were those who used the Agfa Copex and Paterson Acuspecial combination to good effect as well, and I still have a stash of Agfa Ortho, quite well hidden |

Very striking. I'd not bothered with Ortho as I expected it to be too contrasty, but you show it's quite usable.
Love the pics on your site, by the way.
@ Klaus
I found this recently, and wonder if it's the same film you mention under a different name. I think I'll try a roll or two sometime soon, when I order some 9x12s from lumiere.
