I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Minolta 135mm F2.

One of the finest 135mm's

Hi Thom, I like Minolta STF 135mm f2.8 too.

If so, I like it but I can't use it. I don't like Sony camera except it can't be used with various manual lens. Very Happy

From your recommended Minolta lens, I need to find further informations and try to find it. Very Happy

Another lens , that haven't been mentioned i think : the Olympus 3.5 also exists in 2.8 version.
Classy like most of the Oly' lenses.

I'm somewhat late to this thread, but I agree with Lawrence, I think this is the nicest. The Asahi-Kogaku Tele-Takumar135/3.5 is close behind it. However, as someone said, it is tough to pull off a 235mm as "prettiest" lens. I think the prettiest telephoto of all is the Carl Zeiss 8.0cm f2 Biotar in Asahiflex m37 mount.

I still feel that the first version 135/3.5 Takumar (pre-set) has a
beautiful amalgam of chrome and black "beauty rings".

As it comes down the runway, you'll notice the pelerine of the
chrome mount, highlighted by the classic Pentax styling for this lens.

The crowd can only gasp at the beauty, and the paparazzi goes
wild in the trenches as the camera and lens swirl at the end of the
runway and regress back to the main stage, confident in beauty
and modest in function. Laughing

I modified my opinion.

Now, after seeing all the examples posted here, I like ALL the 135 mm.

I want to have all these precious 135 mm.

Before, my interes was 50/85 mm range. Now the 135 come too.

Not sell lenses anymore (I hope).

Rino.

Wow. The hood makes this lens! It would be great without it. It is awesome with it.
