This is a series of large format panoramas from one hiking tour in July (just rendered this stuff together), walking at the mountaingroup "Hochkönig" in the Berchtesgaden Alps (Austria).

The intention was to bring out some interesting/surreal perspectives by combining foreground- and (middle)backgroundsubjects in one panorama.

Most obvious example is for my feeling #1.

If one compares e.g. the wooden seat with the walking person in the middle background, the relations of distance feel surreal.

Thanks all Razz

I am actually not really happy with scaling-down this panoramas. The results look too sharpened for my taste, although I didn't apply any sharpening to the pics.
Those panos are so huge (sometimes 500MB files) that I don't know what's the best way of scaling down to a resolution as it is shown here, about 1200X ...
Has anybody an idea how to do properly?

who is Leibowitz by he way, Attila ? ... I'll have to wiki...

Cheers
Tobias

Thanks Klaus !

By the way, I didn't mention: a polarizer filter was used for all photographs. No saurnation/sharpening done with PS.

Tobias do you have GPS coordinates for this mountain path?

Maybe I'll visit there next Summer.

Here's a gps tour to go on this mountain (Hochkönig) ...

Here's the tour we did: it's called "Vier-Hütten-Tour", which means you can have 4 times rest in a montain cottage and have beers there Smile

The tour is about 6 hours and is very easy, also with family/children.

I made a blue line where we went:

Thanks much!
I would love it.
Monica loves mountain too but she's not a great walker, I hope it's not too hard for her.
I will surely write if/when I go there Smile

Yes, definitely. Super work, the foreground subjects really add interest to the landscapes.

The question is. whether Tobias commands similar fees to Annie Leibovitz (or is equally capable of squandering such vast sums).
