Most pictures taken at wide open some of them at f4.

They have contrast and exposure correction, wasn't lens fault rather was mine, no sharpening!

She would like to catch dropped food on same way how we catch ball.

Are these taken with the E1, Attila?
Are really impressive, the firsto one is outstanding!.
I understand that it's the sixteen blades lens ("bokeh monster"), isn't it?
Congrats.

Yes, E-1 5MPx Wink lens is not famous bokeh monster with lot of blades, this is latest version MC with some blades only probably six only. I believe this lens has best price performance ratio from all 135mm. My all time favorite 135mm lens.

Impressive captures.
I have a Meyer 135 but your Pentacon almost seems to be sharper.
The first one is really a perfect shot!

They have copy variant issue some of them can be dog some of them great really. In communist countries quantity was more important than quality and this lens never been a pro lens. Mass produced on low price for people.
I have I think all variants from this lens. I rate Pentacons above Meyers. I have some early zebra pre-set Pentacons looks like same than Meyers but I think optically improved ones.

I had to clean fungus on the top lens on one of those for a friend, and I was stunned by the quality of this lens. So difficult to give it back... Wink
And yes, this one has six blades.

Regards,

Jes.

Smile Very common here and cheap I think I bought around ten from this lens. I did try 3-5 copies all was excellent I didn't find any dog yet. I sold many of them , but still kept at least 3-5 due low price and excellent optical quality. So I highly recommend to take one and use with your Sigma they will be good pairs.

You're welcome, and yes definitevely. For portraits of people i only have the Sonnar CZJena, its a bit too sharp, and the Pentacon will be a perfect add.

Attila
That's another one you owe me for! Just got one and can't wait to try it out. That raccoon is a typical bandit - and nice series.

Round here raccoons are a real pest and I think they killed my last cat. They look cute though unless they are in your kitchen having destroyed everything, which has happened to a couple of people I know Very Happy Very Happy

I wish to be live together with these pests, sorry about your cat. Here people doing same poison cats and Gipsy's in kitchen damn it. I select raccoons instead Wink

Attila,

How do you compare this lens with the Pentacon electric 135 f2.8?.
Are both the same lens with differences in the mount?.

Thanks!.

Jes.

I found them both the same. The electic contacts push in so cause no problem. Glass is the same as far as I can tell between Auto and Electric versions.

Thanks, Shrek!

It looks like the electric one is getting less interest and so less price Wink

If you want to have an MC version with 15 blades, it is possible to transplant the optical elements from the MC version into the old body with more blades. I've done this on mine, although not so much for the MC but because I found two very cheap but slightly broken ones and that was the way I could put together one good copy. =)

Nice results...

Which mount is this...

I have the same lens in PB mount, not able to use for a long time.. got the adapter now.. after shimming, focussing to infinity.

I posted some results in lens forum,

M42. Most common one. I really like to use this lens for human portraits as your sample shows, perfect bokeh with nice skin tones.

Welcome! Don't clean it just use it. Most people immediately want to clean even if not necessary. with cleaning you risk lens safety and completely remove Multi coating layer! So you will have clean uncoated lens not a good business at all. I expect you have same crop camera and even if this dust around edge impact picture quality (rare happen) you crop DSLR cut it successfully (your camera use central part only) Finally enjoy this great lens rather than destroy it. Show us your samples , artwork and we will help to decide clean or not to clean 99% chance don't need to clean at all as I did explain above.
