Following on from my first try of the Biotar, I thought I should give my Meyer Optik Orestor a go as well Smile I've always loved the Pentacon preset, but have been caught up in Sonnar madness of late Wink

All I can say is...wow Shocked What a lens this is...smooth bokeh, sharpness and pop...incredible Very Happy These were just shots of friends playing in the park, but I had to share the bokeh Laughing

Great results! A lot better than what I could ever obtain with my (later) Pentacon version of the lens.

Thanks guys! Attila, the lens is the standard zebra type. I'm very pleased with the contrast this lens gives, although I believe I have a Pentacon version which is even better! Shocked

I believe it too Zebra Pentacon is even better, hard to beat it's bokeh.

Judging by a recent ebay listing, these have become popular again.

I'm surprised that the 200mm Pentacon Preset isn't as popular. Mine is better than either of the Meyer/Pentacon 135s I have.

I've never been massively impressed by the 200/4 to be honest. Maybe I need to use it more!

The 135/2.8 is such a great lens though, I'd just forgotten to use it for a while! I won't make that mistake again Laughing

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone Smile

I have just purchased one of these zebra models. I would be very pleased to have similar results.

Very nice, now I fell guilty for neglecting mine.

brilliant results!

there's a reason why this lens is called "the bokeh monster"!

Going to pick one up too. Heard a lot of good things about it (as well as the CZJ, which I bought a day ago as well). Really curious to do a side-by-side comparison.

What's the build like? Plastic? Tried searching all over the internet, but no success. I know there's one widely used lens that has a plastic build, but is an optical superstar. Is this the one? Surprised

I was impressed by my 200mm zebra Orestor and wasn't impressed by latest Pentacon 200mm

Great examples! I'm after the zebra pre-set version.
