I've got this lens last week from eBay. It came with nothing, no front and rear caps at all.

It doesn't have even front plate to identify that it's Hexanon. The seller told me it's Heaxanon.
OK, I believed that it's really Hexanon and purchased it.

After a few shots and saw its perfromance, I 100% believe that it's Hexanon.....because Hexanon is Hexanon,
even if it doesn't have the front plate.

It's a Zoom lens and has Macro mode (just close-up really) as well.

I bought this lens together with another Hexanon (50mm f1.7).

These 2 lenses cost $55 include shipping from USA.

Let's us see its perfromance that make me believe that it's really Hexanon.

Most of these pics were taken in close-up mode, about 30 cm. distance with my Olympus E-330
(no need adapter, just some modification).

bokeh......

I love Hexanon, especially this lens.

Wow! Beautiful shoots with a great lens. I purchased almost all fix Hexanon because I know Konica made one of the finest Japanese lenses and we can take them for almost nothing except some rare copies.

Only 4/3 users, though. Konica had a 40.7mm register.

This was one of the reason why I replaced my Nikon to Konica instead of Canon.

Nice shots, Pilant!.
I didn't know the Hexanons before...
The name must come from the number of blades in the diaphragm, the bokeh in pic 3 gives a clue Wink.

My fav is the #1.
(I think I'll take a look to eBay to see how they perform in terms of price...)

BTW, which kind of bayonet has these lenses?. I

Jes.

Hi Jes,

As Attila wrote, the Konica Hexanon AR lenses can be used with only Konica film camera and Olympus DSLR E-series.

More information about Konica Hexanon lenses can be found in:

http://www.buhla.de/Foto/Konica/eHexanonHaupt.html

it is a very useful website for Hexanon mania (as me).

I described how to modify Konica mount to use with Olympus E-series as follows. It's Thai language, but you can understand by look at the pics.

Konica lenses were always highly regarded...I still have my Autoreflex T3 along with a few Hexanons (28/3.5, 40/1.8 & 50/1.7)...I went to Nikon as almost all of the older lenses (except pre-Ai) would work on the newer cameras....I still use the T3 every now & then, though it's a shame they are no longer in business...I'm also in a Yahoo group on Konica....Great camera & lenses!!
