Yes, I think that one is five elements too.
There is also a three element version. I have it in LTM
Tom

I don't know the LTM version but the SLR version should have 5 elements. I think they put the wrong chart here.

That's it I want my Money back Komura!

Here is the LTM version that I have.
I am sure it is a three element lens - and very good I might add.
Interestingly, it is a fully manual - ie not a pre-set lens.
What looks like two rings for set and rotate aperture at the front, are - in fact - one ring only.
The aperture diaphragm has 16 blades.

My 135/3.5 performs just about the same as the 2.8 version, so I guess a similar lens design. It is a bit sharper wide open i'd guess and a bit more contrasty (but my 2.8 is pretty dirty in side and has fungus)

Came in at over a KG. But that was mainly the sleeve. The silver part is just the hood. Black part is the lens, also with inherent hood. So the lens itself is pretty small and light.

I like the 200 f3, 5 a lot. But what mount is that?

It came without a mount. I will put the uni-adapter to m42 on it. An adaptall-like mount adapter for super-komura lenses (the non super ones have a screw adapter like T-mount).

The early SLR and Rangefinder 135/3.5 lens seems to be a sonnar type. Of the copies I have, the two rangefinder versions are able to swap the forward optical block between them, but not with the SLR copies. I think optically they are the same or very similar. Komura seemed to mix it up alot with the external appearance of the early lenses.

I just received the left hand lens, a Peerotar 135/3.5 identified as a Fujita lens by the 'FT' serial perfix, and got out a couple of other lenses to compare. The middle lens is a Miranda badged lens said to also be a Fujita made lens. The right hand lens is another said to be made by Fujita, although it is clearly different to the other two, just in terms of front and rear lens diameters. The center and left hand lens seem fairly similar, but the Miranda lens has amber coating, while the Peerotar is blue. The also have different aperture blades, the ones on the Peerotar are almost totally straight.

I've been trying to find out who made the right hand lens, the consensus seems to be Fujita, and I thought another possibility to be Komura, but the lens doesn't seem to be similar to anything else I've seen from either maker.

why would you manufacture a preset LTM?

Haha - yes of course, it is just that it resembles a two ring aperture control.
I worded my description poorly

I received this Soligor Elitar 135mm F/4.5 lens originally for Argus C2&3 cameras recently and finally got around to cleaning and testing it. It's a 4 element design, with a front doublet, then 2 single elements right at the back of the lens. Part of the rangefinder coupling is missing so it unfortunately can not be used on a C3 without more work.

It has the most background swirl of any 135mm lens I've tested. These are at full aperture, at the 'normal' 10 foot M.F.D of the lens. It's still noticeable swirly at F/5.6, and even F/8.

@Alun Thomas Okay I'm dizzy! Smile Congrats

My latest lens:

Took a risk and bought sight unseen (no photos) from KEH web site an "UGLY" rated Tamron SP 1:3.5 17mm 51B with Adaptall-2 NI mount & caps, for a price about half the ebay rate.

Surprise! It's actually a 151B in excellent optical and physical condition, except minor wear on the aperture ring, and some of the stenciled lettering has rubbed off -- the model number, the filter diameter, a tiny bit of the P in SP and some of the silver painted lettering on the caps.

I might have been a little happier winning last week's auction for a pristine copy including the hood, but would have paid over twice the amount!

Canon FL 3.5/28mm and FL 3.5/200mm - from a guy working at a charity shop. The lenses were to be thrown away, and the guy saved them for me. The 28mm looks very nice but is dirty, the 200mm is fogged and needs cleaning.

Yashica ML 2.8/55mm Macro
- not arrived yet! I'll have to pick it up in Southern Switzerland. Of course I'm curious to see whether it is really better (=sharper) than my Minolta AF 2.8/50mm ...

Especially when it was only 1800 Yen (€12,50) Even after shipping and buying an adapter I can use for other lenses as well It's cheap. A 150/4 and 210/4 are also incoming. That's the lowest hanging Mamiya-Sekor Fruits covered.

Including shipping and tax €35,69
Adapter €43,66 (Ali free shipping)

Total €79,35.

This is still pretty well balanced on my K-1. A 300/4 wouldn't be.

Super Takumar 1:4 / 150 -- early model I with early 5/5 optics (smaller rear element): https://takumarguide.weebly.com/1--4--150-374-43740.html

Super-Multi-Coated Macro-Takumar 1:4 / 100 -- for parts, half price with "focus problem" only closer than 8ft okay. Front element group was cock-eyed on seat; simple to fix. Works fine now.

I'm tempted to get one as well to compare it to the second improved version... Will it ever end.

Personally, yes -- probably without 1:3.5/15

Congratulations.

I did not like the 35 2,5 on full frame and would be interested in your findings regarding the 28. The 35 has corners that never get really sharp.

I do not own the 200 3,5, that is a beast, but I do enjoy the 200 4,5 that is really good. The reputation of the 3,5 is very nice so you should have high hopes. Keep us posted.

Just arrived yesterday. If somebody know anything more about the lens, i would be grateful to hear.
