Yes, living in London and Provence ... I was in Rue Jacoulet.

Going through old data I just found a test I've not published yet. Those are the lenses:

Canon nFD 2.8/28mm
Mamiya Sekor SX 2.8/28mm
Mamiya Sekor CS 2.8/28mm (same optics as Sekor E and Sekor EF)
Minolta MD-II 2.8/28mm [7/7] (same optics as MC-X, MD-I and MD-III [7/7]
Minolta MD-III 2.8/28mm [5/5] (same optics as Minolta AF 2.8/28mm)
Nikkor Ai 2.8/28mm
Pentacon Auto 2.8/29mm Multi Coated (M42)
Pentax-M 2.8/28mm SMC
Tokina RMC 2.8/28mm
Topcon Topcor RE 2.8/28mm
Yashica ML 2.8/28mm [7/6]

I hope I'll have time to publish it tomorrow.

Hope you have a good copy of the Minolta MDIII 5/5. Mine is really nice.

I remember having seen in your interesting book (thank you Google translate) about the Minolta system the mtf curves of the 28 2,0 and the 28 2,8 and, if my souvenir is correct, the f2,8 curve was no less impressive than the one of the famous f2,0.

I have quite a few MD-III 2.8/28mm [5/5] ... they all are from the garbage of local photo stores. Plus a few MinAF 2.8/28mm.

The difficult thing to get was the MD-III 2.8/28mm [7/7] ... virtually unknown here in Switzerland. My copy looks quite beaten, but seems to perform as well the other MC/MD 2.8/28mm [7/7] which are very common here (MC-X, MD-I, MD-II).

Quite like in the case of the Hexanon AR 3.5/28mm [7/7] vs AR 3.5/28mm [5/5], the 5L version of the Minolta has a bit weaker corners than the 7L version. And it isn't as wide as the /l vesion Wink. Small tricks to play to keep the overall performanc acceptable, and the costs sufficiently low ...

In a separate thread I've published an overview over twenty-one vintage lenses with the focal length 28mm:

http://forum.mflenses.com/test-twenty-one-vintage-28mm-lenses-on-24-mp-ff-t82772.html

Most lenses are wery well suited for landscape photography on 24 MP FF sensors when stopped down to f11.
Exceptions are the Pentacon 2.8/29mm, the Tokina RMC 2.8/28mm and to a certain extent also the Yashica ML 2.8/28mm [7/6] - not surprisingly these "cheapos" are performing poorly.

Surprisingly good are the Canon FD 2.8/28mm and the Minolta MC-X 3.5/28mm. Both these lenses can be used at f5.6 for landscapes.

Most excellent testing. Thank you. Did you do center testing as well?

Yes, but only at f2.8. All lenses are pretty much indistiguishable, with exception of the MD-III 2/28mm which at f2 (!) has a bit more color fringing (longitudinal CAs) than the others at f2.8, and the Tokina Auto-Wide which has a lower contrast than the others.
