Yesterday I bought the following for €400 ($530) - all in mint condition!:

Pentax SMC 50mm f/1.2
Pentax SMC 24mm f/2.8
Pentax SMC M 50mm f/1.4
Pentax SMC M 35mm f/2.0

Plus a lovely old Linhof heavy duty pro tripod with a geared centerpost like the one in the photo. These tripods new runs at over $2000 ... auch!

The 50mm f/1.2 alone could almost pay for the lot if I sell it on, so I consider that a scoop Very Happy

Tamron Mirror model 55BB (I already have the 55B 1st version) for $50au,I am not sure if it is a bargain yet, as there may be slight fungus (I asked the seller about how much fungus? the reply ... a very small amount )It comes with its filters and hood and the case looks to be in very good condition. Cool

The RL Edition was just a marketing scheme, the lens is the same as the earlier Komine built Close Focus Vivitar 28/2.8

All of my Contax G lenses are a bargain, in my humble opinion.

Except for the hassle of focus, and some corner issues at 21 & 28m, these lenses are fantastic for their size, weight, aethetics, build quality and IQ. They have very little competition if you consider weight vs. IQ vs price.

Good ole marketing! It does produce some nice colors.

Went into charity shop yesterday to buy a birthday card (they have nice ones, and reasonably priced). Saw a Chinon Memotron CE with f1.4 lens in a showcase priced at £40, but the wind-on was jammed half way through cycle and the lens was fogged up inside. And the filter rim had a massive dent. Not really a bargain. But the 35/2.4 Flektogon next to it was absolutely perfect and possibly slightly undervalued at £10.

Should I have bought it ? Rolling Eyes

+1

I picked up my G2 body and 28/45/90 lenses for C$700 - not too shabby.
Also, a Yashica 50/1.9 for $29,
and a Retina IIa (Xenon 50/2) for $50 - but the repairs on the Retina were over twice that. But I now have a perfectly working shooter, and use it regularly. Worked well at -30degC when my Canon 5D died.

I went to the second hand shop last week and for €14 I had a set of 4 lenses (all M42):

Auto Bewetar 35mm 1:2.8 (€2,50)
Pentacon auto 50mm 1:1.8 MC (€2,50)
Crestar Auto 135mm 1:2.8 (€4,50)
Soligor Tele-Auto 135mm 1:2.8 (€4,50)

Saturday I found a Soligor 400mm 1:6.3 for €30, it looked braned new.

Hope I have some bargains Smile But most important of all, I'm happy with them.

Very old Asahi Opt. Co. Japan Takumar 300mm F4 in m42 mount. Serial number start with 16XXXX. I have the old Asahi Opt. Co. case too. First time I see the AOCo logo Very Happy

It's not in "perfect" shape, but not so bad.

Lots of cleaning mark on front element.
Might have some fungus on the inside element (never seen any before...I don't know what to look for).
A bit dusty, but not so bad for a 50+ yrs old lens.
Was missing some screw, but I was able to replace some of them form old lens part.
Pentax K mount adapter almost stuck to the m42 thread. Luckily, I was able to remove it.
The Previous, previous owner (the guy before the one I bought it from) made some kind of locking hole for the K mount... doesn't interfere with EOS adapter.

$45 CAD.

I'll try to post sample asap.
