This arrived today, after a long wait:

General aspect good. Shutter fired until I tried the delayed trigger....
No fungus, no smear, no haze... a clean little lady.

Jes.

I would try B&W or negative to see if the shutter times are correct.
Slides needs to be very spot on with their exposition.

Thanks colleagues!
Prior to that I must fix the blocked shutter....
First roll will be colour. Second one B&W. THird one, if everything is okay, slide... Smile

Jes that is a beauteeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Wow I just love these old cams.
I hope it is as nice a shooter as it is a looker! Congrats.

Rick is that you ?
It sure is fun to see old shots like these.
I should really start with the scanning of mine.
Although my youth was in the early 80's.
It will be much more embarrassing Laughing

Yep, that's me, summer of 1963 with my Dad's Vito I. He taught me all I needed to know: "Kodachrome II, f.8 at a hundredth." Obviously they didn't all come out keepers, but with all our hand-wringing about whether one meter or another is accurate enough for slides, we shot slides for years without ever HAVING a meter!

That's so nice Rick!
My first one was the a Voigtlander Vitoret from my oncle Camilo, that's why I'm so engaged with any Voigtlander nowadays Smile.
I've seen at the Kyphotos forum an old message (from 2005) from you telling you were searching for one... Did you get yours?.

@Bill, @Andy

Thanks for your comments!. I've started loving old folders, they are great looking and nice shooters Smile. You would have to see the people faces when I take one of these to shot...

Jes.

I had the Vito B for a while, and I agree with the "look on peoples' faces" when they are trying to figure out what it is.... Very Happy

Yes, I did finally find one. I've removed the leatherette for cleaning, otherwise it's in nice shape (though not as nice as yours). Haven't run any film through it so far...

Thanks, Dave. Yes, it's pretty, but I cannot try it yet.
The Prontor II shutter got blocked when I tried to exercise the delayed shot. So I cannot try it until unblocked. I've found a manual for the camera but not a service manual for the shutter. I'm quite concerned because I know that letting the shutter cocked for a long time may damage the springs inside.
So I'm under pressure to fix it...

Jes,

Jes,
I got same Vito one in similar time from UK but mine is with Compur-Rapid. [Sorry I do not know the difference].
My release button is blocked when open it extirely. But I found a trick to press releasing bar slightly with opening it to let the end of releae bar can dodge the releasing pedal which on the shutter ring. I got only one B/W flim and are going to take more soon. Try to take some clear zoom-in photo about what you are facing now.
Yes, she is a lovely lady and an art.
Mike
