Well, it's kind of a generalization. Women can be targets for all kinds of unwanted attention. Diane Arbus would boldly go into the NYC subway at 3AM with a couple of expensive cameras (Rollei's?) around her neck. Balls. Real balls.
What I find interesting is that apparently she never sought any kind of notoriety or recognition. She had a superb eye and presumably had a real need to shoot, to satisfy herself only.
I do think that in some circumstances, being female might be an advantage. Think I'll shave my legs and go try on one of my wife's dresses... |
