Dunno if Andy has started to drive south or is on his laptop, but looked
though the box and the Gucci leather cover is missing! Laughing Simply awesome
to hold, love it already and haven't even shot a roll through it. I imagine
this is how King Arthur felt like when he removed Excalibur from the stone.

Anyhoo, first p0rN pic:

Also, the film advance lever is broken off and missing, what's up with that?
I'm kidding. Wink

Bill

LOL, I think I'd rather pull one of these out of a bag than an Excalibur out of a stone Wink

congratulations

Congrats, Bob!

I feel a healthy envy seeing the Planar (the best 50mm ever) on an adequate body....

Please, post samples as soon as you get any.
Thanks!

Jes.

Thanks, Carsten and Jes! This camera is a real beauty! I'll be posting
some Reala samples first, can't wait a week to see what I have with
slides.

Jes, I had my first name changed to "Bill" too many Bobs on the forum
already! Laughing

Thanks again, fellas,

Bill

Nice one, Bill. It looks just soooo right with that lens on it.

YES! Nice porn shot. The USPS is really getting efficient the camera showed up quick. I hope you love it Bill. Contax made quite a few bodies over the years. The RX is for me the most comprehensive. It is my second favorite SLR just slightly after the RTS II. Now you gotta find yursulf wunna dem dare Sport Utility Macro Plannar 100's Wink Sorry just practicing to drive thru rural Oregon Laughing

Thanks for sending this, Andy! Yeah, the Makro-Planar is definitely going to
be the first one I buy. Anything with the letters "Distagon" will have to wait,
unfortunately. Prices for such are out of this world on ebay right now. I
don't find this camera at all too heavy, nice heft and a quality piece, for
sure! Will be burying my nose in the owner's manual for a day or so, then
out to shoot! Smile

@Dave, looking through the viewfinder with this lens is a dream! Cool

Thanks again,

Bill

Congratulations Bill.
I love heavy cameras also, no jitters.

You think that a Makro-Planar is going to be cheaper than Distagons?
Maybe accidentally... but certainly not as a rule.

Orio I KNOW it's gonna be a chunk, too, but you ruined me on that damned
apple blossom pic! Laughing

Jules, yes, heavy or heavier cams are best!
