Afternoon in the Forest

I decided to try some "one-armed" images in the local woods. While not a true rain forest, there is still a large amount of beautiful greens present and exploding forth with the burgeoning Spring weather.

I used only the Tamron SP 70-210 and K110D on the tripod in order to make a "go" of it without sacrificing too much to the "lack of an extra arm".

Most were shot at ASA800 due to the deep shadows of this forest.

Larry,

I see some really strange artifacts in #2 and #3, are they subliminal messages?

Other than that, I really like the shots. I especially like the saw blade, that sort of shot always triggers the 'man imposing his will on nature' area of my brain and makes me wonder how long we will have wilderness to see.

Edit: Artifacts gone from #2, but I still see them in #3. I have tried refreshing the page a couple of times, thinking maybe the download was incomplete.

Dozens of people make closeup shots of flowers and leaves, and I have seen thousands, but only yours have this ability to appear to me, most of the time, like if they are something new and unseen before.

I don't know how you manage that - I just stand in awe.

I don't know what's causing it, but I still can't see any images from photobucket. The one image I can see is no2, the Devil's Club Leaf, which is hosted on here.

I'll fix #3 right away...seems that photobucket is causing some problems, because the "local" upload got rid of the artifacts in #2.

And...THANK YOU guys for the comments! This was a pretty weird photo shoot, with me adjusting the tripod with my left hand, my teeth, and my nose! Seriously! Took a LONGGG time to set up shots!

As well as your excellent photography you are showing what a great lens the Tamron SP 70-210 is.
Is this the 19AH or the earlier model? Both great lenses.
Logs full of Green is another of your very special images but all are really super. Saw blade was a good find, or did you plant it long ago!!!

I guess this is the earlier model, since it is a variable aperture as the focal length increases? I think it's the 52A model.
