I think the cheaper Contax SLRs are definitely worthwhile, especially for those that have a number
of lenses in M42 mount. The adapters are cheap (around $7) flange-less, like the $30 Pentax OEM,
and the cameras' meters still work!
I'm going to put some new clothes on this one and the 137MA I have:
one will have the Ostrich leather
and the other will have the green lizard
I may rethink the color choices of both before ordering.
Prices are $14 each for the kits, plus $8 for reseal kits (pre-cut, each kit can do 3 cameras)

I was looking at one at the last camera fair, worse leather than that ebay one, but the camera itself was perfect. I'd spent more than I should by the time I saw it so I resisted. I think it was only £25 as well. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

Not neccessarily, sometimes they age nicely.

Tony, the 137s have built-in winders, thinking about a red leather now, too. Thanks! |

Perhaps he's giving them away in the hope they'll get noticed and people's wives and g/fs will order them, and go some way to clearing the two railroad cars full of them round the back of his house. _________________ Dave - Moderator

Do you dare to leave the house with that camera in your hands?
Nothing useful for street photography IMO, too obtrusive.
