Here's a couple of high ISO shots on a dull day with my Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 300mm f/4 MC version.

There was a small amount of purple fringing which I removed in pp very easily and the photos were cropped fairly heavily. I had actually forgotten that I took this lens with me! Laughing

Here's a couple taken with the Canon EF 100-400/4.5-5.6L IS as a comparison:

I actually noticed that before I read you, in the flowers picture, because I see a grey halo where there was the purple.
This is the one betterment that Adobe should really bring to Lightroom: the ability of redefine the fill of the areas where purple is removed.
Since the software knows where the purple is, it should be a child's play to tell the software to keep that selection and to add sliders in the CA panel
that let you adjust the brightness, hue and saturation of the replaced colour areas.
