Thanx, now imagine an elegant woman hand, instead of my hairy one Rolling Eyes
The lens is the Samyang 35

I like the way the contours of your hand distort the shadow lines.

That is exactly what I was thinking of Laughing

Other than that, it is perfect! Though if I have to be picky, maybe more DOF.

I did try different apertures, wide open it was too thin, stopped down made maid the details on the hand even more evident, thus making it uglier. I was a challenge to take hold the camera and take th pic with my left hand. Smile

I like this idea,I to would like to take photos of hands...but I need a hand model.. Laughing You did extremely well to use your own hand.I wouldn't mind seeing more detail of the hand...can you post one of your other shots up?

works perfect in B&W this subject, surly has more impact than in color.

I like everything about this shot, no critics from my side Laughing

Cheers
Tobias

Agree with Tobias, the BW works well here. It looks like the light could be from the moon and you
are about to change (lycanthropy). Smile

Tomas, the apple pic is a little better comp. I think the bottle of whisky makes a poor sundial. Wink Smile

But I do like the colors. Cool

I like the original ! B&W is all about lines, form and texture for me. I agree a feminine hand would be more appealing to me but then I am a man Wink I think anything with complex curves would look good in a shot like this.

I think male hand works better here, because it's powerful
with stripes on, it looks like a jaguar ready to jump
female hand would look more like a cheetah or ocelot Very Happy

Cheetah or ocelot would be nice... Smile

I don't mind the slightly more blurry hand in the first photo of the 2nd set.I love the colour in the whiskey bottle.
