ireally like these a lot! ive been thinking of getting this lens for film and for m4/3. i read ken rockwells review where he said it has virtually no distortion, but i occassionally see a fair amount of it. whar are your thoughts on the lens's distortion on film and crop?

wow! wow! wow!

stunning pics!

I've got that lens -- I think that the NEX is perfect camera for it as the massive vignetting is very little on your NEX

impressive pictures - i have the same colour shifts with 15mm CV on my NEX 5, but never saw distortions
with the 25mm CV you don´t have this problems, no idea about the 21mm

many thanks guys..
I think there's distortion, a little.
a line on edge of frame will be skewed to diagonal direction. see #3, below, there's a line skewed. I tried few times before I took that shot, on LCD I saw that distortion always appear. also on #5 you can see the gate is skewed

I didn't experience this with CZ Flek 20/4.
Tony I dont have film camera to test Very Happy
Stan, this is perfect lens for NEX, specially for its tiny size Wink. oh and that color shift is gone if I use HDR mode or wideopen shot Very Happy
56 DIN...can you show your result with it?

here they come - corners with CV 15mm on NEX 5 (vintage model from last year)

all made this year february only resized and lightly resharpened

against the sun

sun from side

with the sun

into a tree, different lights and reflections, crop of the upper picture part added little contrast and saturation

Distortion does not seem to be a problem, we're talking of a 15mm lens, some distortion is unavoidable.
But, I see the magenta edges.
Unfortunately they seem to change from image to image, so it would be difficult to build a photoshop action
to neutralize them.
Probably a retrofocal design such as the Samyang 14mm could allow to avoid, or at least minimize, the magenta edges.

wow 15mm, that's an angle.

Nice shots, love the portrait of the Dutch ... very natural.

Not really convinced about the lens ...

Cheers
Tobias

Thomas, that's great shots.. no way you will found distortion in such shot Wink. This lens only distort straight line in edge of frame

Orio, use this lens wideopen in NEX5 or use HDR mode will remove that magenta Wink

Tobias.. this lens is for RF lens. I dont think it will fit your Pentax cam Smile

That day I brought NEX and Kodak Retina Reflex with Heligon 50/2, this is that Dutch girl with Kodak

Scanned in lab, I think the scanner is broken, something wrong with the color. the film looks OK.
