Following on from my first try of the Biotar, I thought I should give my Meyer Optik Orestor a go as well I've always loved the Pentacon preset, but have been caught up in Sonnar madness of late
All I can say is...wow What a lens this is...smooth bokeh, sharpness and pop...incredible These were just shots of friends playing in the park, but I had to share the bokeh

Judging by a recent ebay listing, these have become popular again.
I'm surprised that the 200mm Pentacon Preset isn't as popular. Mine is better than either of the Meyer/Pentacon 135s I have. _________________ Casual attendance these days |

I've never been massively impressed by the 200/4 to be honest. Maybe I need to use it more!
The 135/2.8 is such a great lens though, I'd just forgotten to use it for a while! I won't make that mistake again

Going to pick one up too. Heard a lot of good things about it (as well as the CZJ, which I bought a day ago as well). Really curious to do a side-by-side comparison.
What's the build like? Plastic? Tried searching all over the internet, but no success. I know there's one widely used lens that has a plastic build, but is an optical superstar. Is this the one? |
