Number 1 is my favorite of the series. The cloud reflections in the water are really amazing. Really great work once again.

+1, nicely shot set. on #1 there's a newton ring down the middle, probably the film was bowed down enough to touch the bottom glass on the scanner. I've despaired of ever getting that bit right so now I scan film with the bow going up instead, and reverse the image in ps.

i expect a betterscanning glass insert tomorrow. hoping that negates that stinking ap 400/tri-x long-axis curl ... Mad

I like no 3, that barge is WIDE. Personal preference would to not have the cars but a couple of generations down the line will look at this photo and not only marvel about how wide the barge is but look at the "cute" cars in the foreground. Nostalgia in the making...

#1 is somehow hypnotizing, great work with simple subject (the most difficult).

thank you both so much. i wanted the vehicles in the photo and the men setting up to fish. all part of river life. after a barge tow goes by, fish get more aggressive in the freshly oxygenated water. those twin diesels turn props 5-6 feet in diameter.

the tonal range on the 3rd amazes me..ah, B&W film, Arista Premium!

if something disturbs me it's the bridge on the 1st, simply wonderful image though!
