* Schneider-Kreuznach Tele-Xenar 3.8/75 (Robot mount)
* Steinheil Culminar 2.8/85 VL (M42)
Nikkor-H 1.8/85 @ f/2.8 (stopped a little more than one stop):
I publish this comparision in the "oversized gallery" so that I can show bigger images.
I shot frames wide open and at f/5.6 (and with the Nikkor at f/2.8, because it is such a fast lens wide open).
Here are the first results (the full frame, wide open):

Leica Elmar 4/90
Nikkor-H 1.8/85
Nikkor-H 1.8/85@ f/2.8
Schneider-Kreuznach Tele-Xenar 3.8/75
Steinheil Culminar 2.8/85 VL
Well, there is not much difference, but the 100% crop show more:
Carl Zeiss Tevidon 2.8/70
Leica Elmar 4/90
Nikkor-H 1.8/85
Nikkor-H 1.8/85@ f/2.8
Schneider-Kreuznach Tele-Xenar 3.8/75
Steinheil Culminar 2.8/85 VL
The shots at f/5.6 are all very good. There is no reall point in showing them here.
Next part will be a bokeh comparison...

The Steinheil with its "glow" can be used as an effect lens, really, rather than as a sharp close up. It produces fantastic portraits!
