Considering the "culture" and the artistic "sensitivity" of most politicians and administrators, I think the painting option can turn into a danger more than a benefit 
These are really nice but I'm afraid of what this can turn into somewhere else where the local administrator needs to give work to local "painters" et c. .... I say so because I have seen such horrors already....
