Thanks once again Klaus Smile for sending me this beauty.

It had some fungus everywhere on the glass .. so after 1 week spent with the repair man here .. and a small fee i finally got it. The fungus was entirely gone and the focus ring is very smooth.

I did polished it a bit as it has some nasty stains on the aluminum .. and now it looks so nice .. almost like new.

But the most impressive part is how good is it.

That's the 100% crop from the raw converter.. with no sharpening. (click on it)

I'm happy i have found another awesome lens for my Nex Smile
And it looks really cool on it.

And the samples Smile I almost forgot . they are nothing special .. most of them just a test snaps with the Sony Nex-3.

Great, another Primoplan lover! I have four of them, one 7,5cm and three 58mm's. The interesting fingerprint already shows in your first shots.

If I may ask... One of my Primoplans is indeed a bit "filthy". How did you polish it?

Way to go std! The primoplan "shows its stuff' here, and I'm sure you'll
be happy with this beauty. I would love to see an image with it mounted
on the Nex!

A question: Are there adapters available already for the micro-four-thirds
system to utilize older lenses such as screw mount?

ANSWERING MY OWN QUESTION: Yes!

Any way to mount this lens on my Eos 7D or even 5DMkII? What mount does it have?
thanks

These stains are somewhat typical for this lens, I suppose.
I was able to clean mine with "Never Dull - Magic Wadding Polish" ... of course only the lens body. Wink

My Primoplan 58 has an M42-mount and can be perfectly used on a 7D (but not on a 5D).

Thanks a lot Smile

Here is it wit the Nex

About the polishing..this is the kit I got - you have 2 disks and 2 pastes (one for cleaning and one for polishing) Works quite well.

They are selling it in Mr. Bricolage here.

And finally 2 more snaps - portraits of my son. He is a very difficult subject to chase.

I like the leather strap for you NEX!

The strap i got from here Click here to see on Ebay
looks real Smile

Unfortunately it's for another type of cameras - the ones where the strap is held to the camera with a small metal ears - like a bulb - (Contax G1)

That Primoplan is special lens indeed. Nice samples. With exakta mount you can find nice and cheap glass. That is really attractive.

I think Its from exaklaus, isn't stefan?
I was thinking to took it. Now I'm regret didn't do that.

Indeed, but it doesn't really apply to the Primoplan. Especially on eBay the times of low prices (for Primoplans that is) is long gone. However I personally like how the older lenses are now loved and cared for.

Somebody like it somebody not. It drives me crazy how people choose their rare and collectors items. Then I can't afford some oldschool stuff. Or it is at least hard to watch out for special one.
