Tobias, thanks (and thanks, Andy!) I'll be trying another developer with this
film, Diafine.

Really nice portrait, I love the expression.
I like a lot the grain and the bokeh...

Regards.
Jes.

Great portrait. The light is just perfect, the intensity of the gaze is perfectly captured.

Cheers, M.

Jes, Attila, and Marty, thanks for your comments! I really like using the
Canon A-1.

Attila, I have the Bessa Heliar loaded with TMAX 400. Here's a larger
version of one I posted in Andy's thread using Delta 400:

A very good portrait indeed, and well focused. I assume a wide open aperture, correct?

Orio both of these photos were at f5.6, one stop down.

oops sorry, I did not notice Embarassed
well the background seems quite blurred in the first photo. But of course it can be the distance.
The second photo did not load when I made my comment - that's a good one too. This film seems well suited for portraits, as the contrast is on the mild side.

Thanks, Orio, Ilford film (and I LOVE Delta) is going up by 20% come Feb 1st. It is already higher priced than TMAX, but it is my favorite 400 BW film.
