Using CZJ Sonnar 4/135 and Fuji Xtra 400 film:

Scanned on Epson 4490, lady at Walgreens was sick, so took the roll to
Walmart, big mistake...

Nice shot, Bill.

My two Exa500 are pending from repair since long... After watching your shot they are getting priority in the repair queue (after the Praktica FX3).

Regards.

Jes.

Jes, thanks, and good luck with your repairs, it will be well worth it! I took
the above shot and this one shortly before coming down with the flu which
laid me low through the holidays. This is with the Canon A-1 and Viv Series
1 70-210 zoom (should just J-B weld this to the camera as I really love this
lens), Fomapan 400, HC-110B:

I like the grain/effect in this one and of course realize it won't be eveyone's
cup of tea.

I think I prefer B&W ISO 400 is too grainy to me in color somehow it is not disturb in B&W. Nice to see EXA 500 in action.

Bill, I like them both, but I think that best would be a greyscale conversion of the first one.
I made an attempt at it, applied some green filtering (to enhance the eyes) and a very minor levels tweaking.
I hope you don't mind, if you don't like it please feel free to remove it.

Attila, agree!

Orio, you have my blanket OK for any tweaking you want to do! Now can
I have the 1200pix version? Laughing Really like your BW treatment. Cool

Of course! I had to redo it, because I did not keep the original size. So it may not be 100% identical:

Looks excellent to me, Orio! Love how the eyes are more pronounced.

For me the grayscale version of Orio seems more pleasant too.

But I really like the the second photo with the Canon, thats just perfect for my eyes Smile

Cheers
Tobias

Tobias, thanks much, I'll be dev-ing a roll of APX 100 tonight using the Canon A-1 and (finally) FD 1.8/50 prime.

Rather than start a new thread, here are two from a roll of APX-100, Canon
A-1, FD 1.8/50 lens. I used HC-110B @ 7 mins, 20C:

I shot the roll at ISO 80 and all photos were wide open aperture (heavily
overcast day with rain) and shutter speeds ranged from 1/5 to 1/10sec,
handheld, not good.

You do fine portraits, Bill. Most I like that with Canon and Viv1series 70-210. Then all bw with that conversion.
It is hard to shoot in bad light. But that second from end is really great with sharpness to me. Then I can feel soul in that pic. Great.
That Exakta is also interesting cam. I would love to see more from both slrs.

great again the last two. In both I can see your typical style of doing portraits. Very personal! I can see always a lot of the character of the persons.

Cheers
Tobias
