Auto Rikenon 1.4/55...K200D..town,blue tongue,sunrise....

I thought I would try out the Auto Rikenon(metal version) So starting from sunrise this morning these are a few images from today.
#1 Sunrise...love the oranges..any hints on taking sunrise or early dawn photos please post some comments!! I would like to improve.

FInally I get to see your main street Mo!
You seem to live in lovely natural surroundings.
The sunset pictures are perfect as they are.
Do you use any picture editing program? Because power lines can be cloned off if they disturb you.
Don't your cats attempt at the life of the lizard? Here it would not survive one afternoon

Thanks Orio...yes the cats try to attack these lizards but they have a defense...they hiss and pack a nasty bite.This is only a baby compared to how big some can get.
I only have the windows live and gimp programs...I have worked out in gimp how to clone out the sensor dust...I have not tried cloning power lines.
The sunrises here are always this intense red/orange/blue and a mix of other colours....I want to capture them at their best...I gather a slide film and Film camera would be the best bet?
It took me a while to capture the main street... I have to take one facing the other way.

Both sunrises are excellent but No.2 is my favourite. The wispy clouds are beautiful.

The sunrises are great as they are Mo, what else could you do with them? If you expose for the detail in the hills then you'd lose all the subtle colours in the sky.

And it's very nice (for me) to see the wide variety of trees in the church picture. There are others besides the gum trees in NSW then!

Just a small question about the lens - I've heard that Rikenon lenses can get jammed on Pentax cams due to a small pin lodging in screwheads. Is that true, and is it a problem with K bayonet lenses or with M42 or both?

Lovely sunrises, I don't see how you could improve on them much, maybe by using graduated ND filters you could keep the sky as it is but have more detail on the ground but otherwise they are perfect.

Thanks again for the kind comments...I always think that maybe I am doing things not right..so I had better ask and find out I will have the Biotar back soon so will try that on an early morning sunrise...might work might not!!
Peter the Auto Rikenon is fine as it is a older lens and screw mount, it is the newer ones that say "P" and are plastic and they do have the little "pin"..sort of looks like a ball bearing on the K mount...I don't put any newer Rikenon lenses near my Pentax...just the old "Takumar" looking lenses
As for the different trees we have a huge range around town...looks stunning in Autumn!

I love your sunrises and the milk bar picture, both really well capture a sense of atmosphere. If I could say one thing, I think the first could be a touch warmer. That lens is a lovely one, when I had it it seemed a serious contender to the Super Takumar 50mm 1.4, in fact the colours appear more accurate.
