on 5DII the 85 1.4 have better resolution wide open than on the 40D
bokeh is smoother and progressive, subject like #1#2 are still nice on FF
focus is more easy thanks to better viewfinder and I didn't got missed focus wide open
you would need a 50:0.7 on crop to get rendering of a 85:1.4
a 135:2.8 on full frame is the same as a 85:1.4 on crop
contax 85:1.4 made great job on crop 40D but I think it get unlocked on full frame

Yes, it's a full frame lens, it shines on your 5D II.

Nice Poilu. It seems to work fine.

I also noticed it was easier to focus with the 5DMII than it was with the 40D.
