Thanks! Jussi, those ants are a pain in the *ss: they are very lively and active and never sit still... My macro diffuser is shown in this post....

Great images.

I have never understood how to arrange the light (and camera tripod) for this kind of live macro shorts in nature. Du you have any quick "how-to" to share?

Tobbe, thank you! These are all hand held, when shooting bugs I never use a tripod, it's just to cumbersome. But in the post just above yours, I posted a link to a DIY diffuser for macro work. Have fun with it!

How do you set the flash strength, just try a few shots and turn it until proper exposure, or is there some better method?
