Some days ago I got my Summicron 35 back from service. It feels like new now and since Willi has asked for some shots, here we go.

These images were taken yesterday during my lunch break. I was lucky. We had about 10 minutes of sunshine that day. Wink

All shots were taken at f/2 (wide open), for testing reasons.

I have uploaded them as 1600px images to show some details.

The lens is fantastic - sharp, very little distortion, great colours, extreme resolution.
It just shows a distinct softness in the corners when wide open on the 5D, but hey, we are talking about f/2 and a fullframe DSLR. Wink This softness is caused by field curvature.

It also shows some vignetting in the corners on a 5D, but then again, it's f/2!

This is f/2

And that is f/2.8

At f/4 it's almost gone.

Well, you can't really go wrong with a Leica lens, can't you? Wink

Woah!

I'd never have guessed that first one was f2, astonishing! And the last image of the sign is fantastic as well. Not bad for a 10 minute lunch break eh? Wink
