Home coming (long post)

Though not my home, it was turned up to be a nice trip. Might be boring for
many of you, since this is a story not arts.

When we were in Hiroshima, we had a chance to go my wife's birth place
in Japan inner sea island, where you may not have a chance to see them
even you come to Japan many times.

Here is our path to I(sland) called Osaki-Shimo-Jima, D(estination) is
a small town on that island. Nowadays we can go with a car, we used to
have to ride a boat.

After passing trough the first bridge (B1) from Honshu (main island of japan) to the first leg of island archeperago


Passing a few more bridges, we reached the destination island and one small port, from which island's main product (Mikan = tangerine) is shipped to
many other places, probably now used surface transportations.


The next town is the destination, a small port town which used to be flourished during EDO period (1603-1868). The town was started 1616 for
ships to wait for tide to change and avoid storms.

Typical old house, some of smaller house was sold only US$2,000 (yes two thousands), no not this house.


Rather modern (relatively speaking) theater, run the movies too

53 years ago the same houses, two girls and a old lady between them. My wife at the right, this old lady was one of the first professional female photographers in Japan.
I d not know who made this photo, but it is most likely by my father-in-law. She was just 10 years old at 1956.

Their main residence is in a difference place (I did not photographed, UGGHH).
