So I am trying to learn all this "landscape" photography. Which in my humble opinion is hard and boring. But nevertheless I have decided I have to learn how to do it. What do you think?

The full moon at midnight. Super Takumar 55/1.8, 15 sec

After the storm, Super Takumar 85/1.9

Imagine my surprise when the last of them got Explored on flickr. Bigger version of the last is here -> http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2552/3777664065_5fef99cf45_o.jpg

Your 2nd landscape photo is nice. You manage to capture the mood.

I sometimes try to do landscape photography, and I would be very pleased with myself if I had captured the second one in your series.
From a composition point of view it's text book I guess and the colors are very pleasing.
I'm not at all surprised it scored on Flickr. It works well even in the small format, which seems to be necessary for success there.

The first image comes out very dark on my screen. Difficult to really form an opinion.

Second one looks pretty good to me

I think they're both superb. Landscape is difficult IMO.

The first one is very good with the tree shadows. I don't do much night pictures, but i love landscaps its worth the shoot.

I think landscape is not different from any other genre of photography.
You always need a good subject, good lighting, good composition.
Those are requirements for every type of photo I think.

For me, the lens flare in the moon shot is distracting.

The second, I think is outstanding. It conveys a very serene mood.

Yah. I decided while trying this out, not to clone or do any hard ps work on the pictures. So I left the flare. Smile

The first would IMO benefit from a closer crop. The second I am not surprised it made Explore, it is a very nice framing with interesting color treatment as well!

First one could do with a bit of cropping, but the second one is excellent. It captures an atmosphere certainly, some may find it serene, some may find it laced with menace, but whatever the subjective response it arouses, it's definitely there.

That second shot is superb. Everything seems to have clicked there.
