I do prefer also the second one, better light. But both are nice and well composed. I like also the second one, I love the water reflections.
Thanks for sharing!

Hexi and Jes, thanks, I hope to try slide on this area this fall with a better
tripod. I'm checking areas right now that will be good fall scenes.
Thanks again,

The river photos are simply stunning, Bill.
I really love the colours you got from the film.
For the bog photo, in addition to using a tripod, I would lower the shooting point. This will give more drama, and will allow you to use a lesser pitch of the camera.
Does the Koni allow to raise mirror before shooting?
I ask because mirror in medium format cameras are really heavy and produce big vibrations.
And it's not just the big vibration per se, but you have to add that the medium format records more of those vibration than a simple 135 format film.
My major complaint with my MF camera (Pentacon 6) is precisely that I can not raise the mirror before shooting.
For this reason, rangefinder MF cameras are preferable if the mirror in the reflex MF can not be raised. _________________ Orio, Administrator

Orio, thanks for the advice, the Koni is an RF, so no mirror to worry about.
I don't think focus is all that bad in the bog shot, but stopping down would
have been better. Early morning is a good time to shoot bogs and swamps
as the water moccasin are not about, then.
I was thinking about lowering the shooting point, too, should have gone
for it.
Thanks, again. |

I had my eye on that one, but tried to get a bargain at $125.
The image with the Omegon is simply brilliant in its rendition! _________________

my laptop at work and it is not happening, will wait to get home. |
