... of 12mm, not enough for true macro pictures, but deep enough to get a minimum focusing distance of about 60cm ...

These are really great closeups!
I am particularly impressed by the peacock's head - those birds usually don't let you get much close to them.
Perfect eye focus by the way! - what did you do to "freeze" him? Laughing

I guess his attention was "captured" by the brand ofthe lens Laughing Laughing ...

Jokes apart, there is a small family of peacocks (2 males and 3 or 4 females and at least 2 babies) living in the Jardin des Plantes, with other birds, so i guess they are "used" to humans ...

This series shows perfectly the power of this lens, for me #2 stands out, really crying colors and cool sharpnes.

Great mechanics, with f/stops clicks every half a stop and up to f/32, and really easy to focus ...
The only issue i have with it is the filter thread of 54mm (sic!) ...
