Other new prints, I hope I am not becoming boring with these.
If I do skip the thread Smile

I am very happy with the prints of yesterday night!!
Unfortunately I can see that my scans do not make 100% justice to the prints made with so much sweat and efforts.
If I compare the scans with the prints, I can see that in the scans some life is missing. Sad
Yet I hope that something comes through anyway:

01) Kodak TMax 400 film in TMax developer, Contax RX with Vario-Sonnar 35-70 lens
Ilford Multigrade RC IV paper at contrast 2.0:


02) Kodak TMax 400 film pushed to 800 in TMax developer, Contax RX with Planar 1.4/50 lens
Ilford Multigrade RC IV paper at contrast 2.5:


03) Kodak TMax 400 film pushed to 800 in TMax developer, Contax RX with Planar 1.4/50 lens
Ilford Multigrade RC IV paper at contrast 2.0:


04) Kodak TMax 400 film pushed to 800 in TMax developer, Contax RX with Planar 1.4/50 lens
Ilford Multigrade RC IV paper at contrast 2.0:

very good and detailed again ! a scan will never give a print justice anyway

i like the last one, the expression of the girl in the right and of course the cameras Cool

great stuff and great lens !

I used T-Max because it was required at the course (by using just one film they didn't need to prepare different chemicals and we could develop the rolls in tanks of 3 at a time).
It's a good film anyway - with the right developer, it delivers lots of detail even at 400 ISO.

I only shot one roll of t-max in my life. To me, the contrast was much to severe. Now that I'm doing more printing and having trouble with getting adequate contrast in the prints from my tri-x negatives maybe it is time to give t-max another try.

Me too.

For my taste, and to be super-critical, one or two of the pictures could be better with a little more contrast maybe, but as there are so many variables when you develop and print AND then scan the print, I'm not at all confident of knowing at what stage this might have happened. Even when I'm just developing and scanning I'm never sure whether I've underdeveloped or underexposed. Both probably, but it's so easy to adjust a scan!

So, congratulations Orio, the course was well worth it and you're on your way.

.... and I love all this stains, spots, scratches, fingerprints, film perforation and bokeh of Planar1.4 lens. Smile
