They look great Bill. Very nice work.

I'd like to own that Mack they made into a pickup.

Thanks, Ron, I had 5 of these worked up but it occurred to me that I'm
not all that into trucks! Laughing These two were the most interesting, and not
by much, either.

Some of those trucks really have nice design!

Great image quality as always, Bill - what was the camera-lens?

Orio, these were with the Super-Omegon 3.5/90 lens. The 58mm wide
would have been nice, still looking for one. KRO 100=Koni Rapid Omega 100, 6x7.

This camera makes images so clear that they could have been output by my 5DMkII, I am stunned.

katastrofo -- these images are superb!

It seems to be that the RAPID OMEGA is one of the best in its league ..

and generally unbeatable by digital cameras ...

Whoever changed the thread title, thanks, in the interest of clarity I should have spelled it out.

Thanks for your comments, guys. I'm very pleased with this cam and if
you can get past how much it weighs (I can) it seems to deliver the goods.
The lenses, all four in the line seem to be great performers. I've seen images
made with all of them that makes me believe they took great
care in uniform quality. The lenses are easily affordable with the 58mm
wide being the most expensive.

Thanks again.

Bill

Here's a couple more from the truck show, the shots on the Portra 160
are just too damaged to work with:

Had a lighting problem in some of these, late afternoon was less than
ideal if the truck is pointed in the wrong direction. Laughing

Hard to believe Bill. Film always has a, well, film look. These don't have that look at all. Fantastic results.

What really amazes me is this is a *400* ISO film. Yeah I can make out a
little grain in the shadow areas, but this is the best 400 print film I've ever
seen. The 800 Portra is purdy good, too. Have a roll of that in 35 I'll be
trying with one of my Konica T4s.

Thanks for your comments, Ron.

Bill, I have used a lot of kodak gold and fuji superia in the last couple of years. What would you recommend I give a try?

PostPosted: Sat Jun 20, 2009 2:47 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

Ron, for color print film, it's Portra all the way for shots you care about.
Kodak Gold 100 and 200 is still not bad, but the colors and close-grain
of Portra just can't be beat, this side of slide. I would sing the praises of
Ektar, but have had too much problem with color shift with that film where
I don't with Portra.

Awesome set of images. I think that camera is the sharpest 120 shots I have seen. Shocked

Are you talking about the porta VC?

Graham, thanks, this camera hasn't let me down from the first roll onward. Recommended. Now, the place where I sent some rolls thru
Walmart have let me down.... Laughing

Ron, yes, Portra 160 and 400VC, 160 and 400NC films. The 800 is good,
too, I've seen enough from others to recommend it, but still haven't tried
it. The 800 does very well in low light situations.

Katastrofo

Greats three pics!!!

The lens is a winner and the konica cam too.

Perhaps the best negative digitalized pics that I saw (among them, sure).

Congratrulations!! Rino.

Rino, thanks, I've found this camera/lens to be quite a surprise.

Orio, I have trouble believing this is the equal in output to your Canon MKII, especially after seeing your mindboggling images, but I'm happy
with the scans (all done at home with the Epson 4490).

Crystal clear images Shocked ... looks digital for my taste - I mean I would not see immideately that those are scans.

Nr.1 and the yellow truck down in the thread are my favourites.

Cheers
Tobias
