Yes! Zeiss -- I agree -- Zeiss is the best --

Apo-lanthar is also perfect lens BUT Zeiss Makro-Planar is MORE ATTRACTIVE Smile

APO-LANTHAR has a perfect MTFs and PERFECT RESULTS!!!

I really don't doubt about it !!! It's perfect and there is a high demand on this lens..

but Zeiss MP 100 wins in my view ...

It has something special or SIMPLY as I have read on some forum, Zeiss didn't claim that it was an APO but it is or it is a VERY CLOSE TO APO performance or MAYBE IT IS ... Smile

Well....

we will see soon, since I will get from a dear friend the MP 100mm which was tested here (I sold mine in a "senior" moment) back for that test, against the ZF MP 100mm I just bought against the CV Apo Lanthar 125mm I have since a few weeks.

Then we'll see....

poilu, the lens speaks for itself, and I don't need to say more about the lens.

However, the macro shots here are EXTRAORDINARY! Shocked Your sense of composition is masterful here, and you make these images SING with beauty.

Couldn't agree more with Laurence, Poilu! Masterfully done, and with a

thanks friends!
you are to kind for me
the mp100 is not perfect, I prefer the mp60 who don't know about CA, fringe or other defects
today I take a pic to thank you but it was cloudy and I had to shot WO
mp100 2.8 at 1:1 400 iso 1/250s no flash, no hood

and another view where you see my reflection
max magn 1:1 wide open

poilu, that's fantastic.

This looks like an intresting lens... Is it expensive?

Great shots, on the flowers but especially on the fly.

MTF show that new makro-planar 100:2 is much better than the old one
your review will be interesting
