Well, in my case, it did!
I have found an used, but very good condition, difficult to find original case for my Contax IIa. And I even found a lovely user manual, in English.
Both arrived this morning.
So now I have a full vintage set... but to use! Not to put on a shelf.
In the picture you can see the "new" case and manual, together with the camera. The gorgeous Opton Sonnar 1.5/50, it's pouch, the lens hood and hood case, are courtesy of Andy (thanks again!)
Isn't that a beauty?
In the past everything was more elegant, including the lenses, the cameras, and the cases. I would feel perfectly at easy going out in an elegant suit with this case on my shoulder. Talk about style!

You are right, the world has lost a lot of elegance in the last decades. It's a pity, really.

Wonderful! I am very happy for you
And yes, a case can make you happy I found a 'quite good' case for the Yashica-Mat LM on ebay before the camera had arrived, and was VERY happy when I found it fitted ok |

yes, it might not seem important at first thought, but the difference between a specific case (that fits the camera and can be lifted for shooting) and a generic case, where you put the camera in and it can move and it can clash with lenses, etc) is not small! _________________ Orio, Administrator

Three of my folders and one of my RFs (also the Bessamatic) came with cases and it does make quite a difference to how well they've been preserved. Also, a case that's well polished up lends a degree of appeal to the camera itself.
That Contax case is well designed by the look of it. _________________ Dave - Moderator
