I was on a detachment at the forensic service working for a fingerprint expert. We designed our own camera for easily taking 1:1 shots of fingerprints. It was 120 roll film with a 6x9cm frame size. The lens was a Wray 3.5 inch (90mm) f4.5 enlarger lens. Above that was a Copal shutter with x-sync set at 125th. There was an adjustable arm that you can just see in the photo which we mounted a very small Metz manual electronic flash. A lever behind the lens cocked the shutter. The roll film holder was a Rada, if I remember correctly. The frame at the bottom of the stand was the exact size of the negative and was at the focusing distance.
It worked really well.
