I was digging through old negatives from when I was a trainee Lab Tech, far too long ago!

I was on a detachment at the forensic service working for a fingerprint expert. We designed our own camera for easily taking 1:1 shots of fingerprints. It was 120 roll film with a 6x9cm frame size. The lens was a Wray 3.5 inch (90mm) f4.5 enlarger lens. Above that was a Copal shutter with x-sync set at 125th. There was an adjustable arm that you can just see in the photo which we mounted a very small Metz manual electronic flash. A lever behind the lens cocked the shutter. The roll film holder was a Rada, if I remember correctly. The frame at the bottom of the stand was the exact size of the negative and was at the focusing distance.

It worked really well.

Just thought I'd show you a camera that you probably haven't seen before Very Happy

Very handy, and I suppose the 6x9 frame size made it very forgiving of framing errors.

Is that an early surveillance camera disguised as a broken street lamp?

It's a Rada roll film holder alright - metal pressing at its best !
