Hi!

I found this lens from fleamarket and I bought it for 40euros.
I can't identify the mount this has. Is it Pentax K-mount or Petri Bayonet ?

front
side
mount

The lens itself is in a perfect condition, no dust inside, no scratches anywhere.
I came in tubular carrying case with metal lens hood attached.

If you can identify the mount, which kind of adapter I should get for my Canon EOS 450D.

Rig:
Canon 450D
Canon EF-S 18-55 IS
Tamron AF 28-300mm XR Di VC
2pcs Helios-44-2 58mm M42

Uploading pics to mflenses didn't work and direct link to image between img tags didn't work. Now it should.

Petri bayonet 100%

It certainly is not a Pentax bayonet mount; I guess it's the Petri bayonet mount.

the mount on your lens looks very similar except for the diaphram lever and meter indexing.

When I bought it it didn't come with any camera. That would
have helped a lot. And the seller didn't know anything about it.

What I have noticed and studied with lens and canon body cap. It
should fit with little bit of modification. Just removing aperture
lever and the pin with dremel shold be enough. And if the bayonet ring
won't fit Co-worker has pretty good self-made CNC machine, he can
make a new ring. But I am currently bidding on Jupiter-11A
135mm with M42 thread, so there will be choices.

By the way which one is better Jupiter or Petri in 135mm?

Petri. Even I can not attached lens do Pentax body regarding Petri bayonet mount of the lens - results are pretty good. I had Jupiter, Tair11A, Zenitar and all was above average but not so good as the Petri. My Tair11 (133mm) are different regarding bokeh, more like Zeiss lenses. Petri performs similar to Takumars M42.

Nice pictures!

My friend is going to make me a adapter from 42m to EOS adapter.
I cannot find ready made adapter to that lens.

But in mean time I have 58mm helios and 135mm jupiter to play with.
Now I am waiting for spring and summer. Currently everything
is bit grey and bleak. Where I live it wasn't proper winter at all.

Nice results Voytek. Thats a nice lens. It does look like results from a Takumar 135.

Petri bayonet lenses can be very cheap. I was thinking of getting one, maybe the 200mm, to try a conversion.

I'm also looking for old Petri M42's. The original Petri SLR actually had an M42 mount instead of the bayonet. The lenses for this were very interesting.

Hi, Don Luis!!

I know, for Petri M42, a 2,8/28, 2,8/35, 2/55, 2,8/135 and 4/200 (and don't remeber well, but perhaps be another normal 1,7/55-50).

Think that bay lenses may be better than M42, the lasts are average.

Hola Rino !

Ah, but I want the FIRST Petri M42.

Petri started with M42 in 1958, converted to bayonet I think in 1963, and then stopped making SLR in the 1970's and just sold one made by Cosina, also M42.

So it went - M42(1)-Petri Bayonet-M42(2)

The late M42 I don't care about. The first M42 from 1958-1962(?) are very interesting, some are by Kyoei, unique design and high quality.

Were all the K-mount Petris just a badge exercise? I have a K-mount Petri 50mm, but I suspect it was really a Cosina body it was on.

I used to repair Petri MF-3 SLRs, and it was a Cosina.
