Superb ! Great everything, particularly the contrast and tones.

What was your PP ?

Many thanks.

We were at Photojournalism class and I take one 500W flash head and told her to go near one blue wall we have. (there's why the background is with that tones wich I personally like).

PP: Conversion to b&w in camera raw, WB and a little Levels adjustement.

I'm wondering why someone wants to lose time tweaking the wb when the picture goes wb. It can be corrected/compensated in the color to bw conversion, right?

Superb portrait by the way.

Even when we convert to B&W if we do some adjustments in the WB the results are different.

It was a little yellowish and the skin tones were darker in B&W.

Instead of pushing the highlights (we can lost some information) I made that little adjustment and It came right as I wanted. Smile

In this case you should give yellow a higher percentage in bw conversion. That's why i said that wb can be compensate in color->bw conversion. Anyway i was just curious about it — it really doesn't matter how you do it, the result is excellent in this case Smile

Wow! What a great lens, and what a great usage of the lens's focal length! While I respect Atilla's views, in this case I have to respectfully disagree. I love the "slightly more than head and shoulders" aspect.

Beautiful tones.

You are right Piticu. Smile But I did it right away on WB hehe.

Many thanks for your comments. Tomorrow I'll use my Yashica ML 50mm f/1.4 and maybe my Helios 40-2 on the class.
