More that that, it's sepia ( part of it) which usually is asociated with ancient times. It would work but it's somehow contradictory with that belly button ring.

Here, however, they look vanilla, and they sort of blend the subject into vanilla sauce , which I found it fit the subject, and also, it would give some interest to an otherwise full flat background.
As for the belly, I like girls with some fat around the curves

But it's always interesting reading your criticism, please keep it coming as there is always something to learn, and it helps me to see what of my photos "passes through" the communication, and what does not.

I agree, ít's much more female with beautiful curves.
The hand cut off is fine, because you did not cut it off just before her wrist. And sometimes you have to cut.
Her piercing is working as a small point of interest, that's fine for me.
The only thing I have to get used to is the toneality, but since you call it Vanilla Girl, that's okay for me.
Perhaps I miss some gloss/highlights in her hair.

I did not add any colour to the hair, and I did not shift any hue, or luminosity. I only played with the saturation channels.
You need to keep in mind, this image post-work is not meant to be photo realistic; the colours must blend like in a graphic work. So the global colour harmony takes priority over the realism.

The aura, like I explained, is the shadow cast by the model. The model was inside a shooting box, which is a small box (about 2x2 meters perimeter) made of bricks with walls painted white, and, of course, one side open, to shoot through.
They did not set an upper light pointed to the wall (which is usually used in this situation), so the front lights did cast shadows on the walls.
Since the model was naked, and her skin was of a fair golden orange colour, and her hair was tinted in a quite dense yellow orange dye, hence why the shadows took the yellow-orange tint.
See the model in a non processed photo:
Once the exposure is raised, the dark part comes off, and it only remains the colour tint. Pretty much what the Impressionists did with their way to paint shadows, if you think of it.
So no mystical aura there just optical physics.

You want to "see" something provocative, read the Song of Solomon in the Old Testament. Of course, it is an ode to his wife, but Solomon's words paint an evocative and provocative "photo" of the woman he loved. Interpreting the Song photographically would be quite an interesting project ...

The box serves for diffusing lights over shadows by reflection.
It has the same function as the panel reflectors. Less comfortable than panels, but with the added possibility for the model to use the walls as posing tool, like in this other image:
