Again, welcome, dear neighbour.
I live in northern France, by the channel, and my elder daughter has been studying photography in Tournai these 2 last years.
One of my sisters in law is also belgian, from Saint-Niklaas near Antwerpen.
My daughter also have lomo and polaroids.
You have a nice collection. |
The coast in Northern France is beautiful for photographers, do you go there often? I would love to visit the part between cap blanc nez and ambleteuse. However I have heard that recently they have removed 'les blockhaus' in Wissant from the second world war. I would have loved to photograph those.
I am actually starting my photography studies in september. Looking forward to that. It will be 5 years. I hope to learn a lot more than what I already know _________________ FLICKR PHOTOSTREAM |

This is a beautiful land.
You are right, the blockhaus have been removed I regret it because it was part of our history. I used to go into them when I was a child.
I have nice photos of the last ones. I'll upload them.
If you wish to visit us, please let me know. One of my brothers in law has a nice little "gîte" to rent.
Wher will you study photography ?
There's a good school in Brussels, named "le septante-cinq" (le 75). _________________ Olivier - Moderator

I do not know that school in Brussels, however I will assume that the courses will be tought in French.
Even though I work in Brussels, my French is still a wee bit wobbly. Though I am working on that. I am hoping to speak it fluently within a year or 2.
I will attend L'Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts d'Anvers. One of Europe's oldest academies where a lot of famous artists have studied
Can't wait to see your pictures of the blockhaus! _________________ FLICKR PHOTOSTREAM |

That's the most recent one of me.
It took a bit of doing getting to this thread- it's actually sort of buried in here.
I suppose I'll find a "Tell Us About Yourself" thread in here somewhere eventually.
Edit:
No one's done this since 2014???

Not sure how to take that
Does this mean I will be long term here???
Or does this have something to do with senior's discounts
I've been getting seniors discount on my coffee since I was 55.
