Hi,

has anyone seen a tomb of a whale catcher ? I found one at Spitsbergen (polar sea) few years ago. Must be from the 17th century.

Interesting indeed (they certainly weighed the coffin down with enough
rocks, lol). Rolf, is there a plaque or sign nearby describing this?

This tomb was on a little island near the coast (Barentssee). In the middle of this island was a kind of memorial stone with a plaque to remind to Dutch fishermen.
